Cold Brew Coffee
Trendy summer drink for hot summer days
As the name suggests, Cold Brew Coffee is “brewed” cold over several hours. Especially popular in the summer months, the Cold Brew Coffees has about 70% less acidity and bitterness and is a particularly pleasant, fruity coffee with a strong caffeine kick!
The preparation is extremely simple!
Simply pour 100 g of coarsely ground coffee with 1 liter of cold water and let it steep for at least 12 (up to 18 hours) in the refrigerator. The coffee is extracted slowly in the cold water and is therefore very pleasant in taste, but also high in caffeine content.
The finished Cold Brew is now filtered and tastes not only pure, but also mixed with milk or fruit juices. Serve on a few ice cubes et voilà!
Extra-Tip:
Cold brew coffee is ideal for coffee cocktails or other coffee recipes. If you want to make a cold brew concentrate that is later to be diluted to drinking strength with other ingredients, simply use twice the amount of coffee powder.
